Zambia to Canada Spousal Sponsorship
Last updated: January, 2026
If you’re sponsoring a spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner from Zambia, IRCC requires the standard spousal sponsorship application package, with no additional Zambia-specific forms at this time.
From 2016 to 2025, our Toronto immigration consultants assisted 86 clients from Zambia. This experience allows us to anticipate common issues and prepare applications in a way that reduces delays and follow-up requests from IRCC. You can now review our Spousal Sponsorship page, review our fees page, and book a consultation for guidance tailored to your situation.
Country-Specific Documents
There are no additional country-specific forms required beyond the standard IRCC spousal sponsorship forms.
All applicants must still complete and electronically sign the required sponsorship and permanent residence forms as instructed by IRCC.
Document Instructions
IRCC currently lists no special document instructions for Zambia.
Applicants should ensure that:
- civil status documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce or death certificates if applicable) are clear and complete, and
information is consistent across all forms and documents submitted.
Translation Requirements
Any document that is not in English or French must be submitted with:
- a copy of the original document, and
- a certified translation that meets IRCC requirements.
Names, dates, and places must match exactly across translations and application forms.
