Country-Specific Documents
While there are no unique Slovenian forms, accuracy on standard forms is key.
- Travel History (IMM 5562): We strongly recommend completing this form for the principal applicant and all family members aged 18+.
Required Civil Documents
Slovenian Administrative Units (Upravna Enota) issue documents in various formats.
- Pro Tip: Always request your Birth (Rojstni list) and Marriage (Poročni list) certificates in the “International/Multilingual Format” (Vienna Convention).
- Why? These specific versions include English/French labels, meaning you do NOT need to pay for certified translations.
Police Certificates (PCC)
- Requirement: Applicants aged 18+ must provide a Certificate from the Criminal Record.
- Issuing Authority: This is issued by the Ministry of Justice (Ministrstvo za pravosodje).
- Process: You can apply in person at the Ministry or electronically via the e-Uprava portal (if you have a digital certificate).
Translation Requirements
Request the International Format for your civil documents to avoid translation costs.
If any document is not in English or French, include:
- the original document (or required certified copy), plus
- a certified translation
Make sure names, dates, and document details match exactly between the original and the translation.
