Morocco to Canada Spousal Sponsorship
Last updated: January, 2026
Sponsoring your spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner from Morocco? While Morocco does not have “extra” immigration forms, the Rabat Visa Office is strict about the type of civil documents you submit.
To avoid delays, you must ensure you are submitting the exact versions of the documents IRCC expects.
From 2016 to 2025, we supported 234 clients from Morocco through the Canadian immigration process. If you’d like a full overview of spouse sponsorship Canada, you can just book a consultation with our Licensed immigration consultants. Also, you can check our Immigration Consultant Fees.
Country-Specific Documents
- Travel History (IMM 5562): Required for the principal applicant and all family members aged 18+.
- Military Service (IMM 5546): Only required if the applicant has served in the Royal Armed Forces, Gendarmerie, or Auxiliary Forces.
Required Civil Documents
- Birth Certificates: Do not submit the short “Extract” (Extrait). You must submit the Copie Intégrale d’Acte de Naissance (Full Copy), which lists all details including parentage and marginal notes.
- Family Book (Livret de Famille): It is highly recommended to include a certified copy of the Livret de Famille (pages showing the parents and the applicant) to reinforce proof of relationship.
Police Certificates (PCC)
Unlike many countries with a single criminal record check, applicants aged 18+ living in Morocco must often provide two distinct documents:
- Fiche Anthropométrique: Issued by the Central Service of the National Police (Sûreté Nationale).
- Extrait du Casier Judiciaire (Bulletin No. 3): Issued by the Criminal Record Centre at the Court of First Instance (Tribunal de Première Instance). *
Tip: Both must be originals (or certified copies if specified) and less than 3 months old when you apply.
Translation Requirements
If any document is not in English or French, include:
- the original document (or required certified copy), plus
- a certified translation
Make sure names, dates, and document details match exactly between the original and the translation.
