Lithuania to Canada Spousal Sponsorship
Last updated: January, 2026
Sponsoring a spouse, common-law partner, or conjugal partner from Lithuania is generally a straightforward process, as IRCC does not impose additional country-specific documentation beyond the standard sponsorship requirements. That said, accuracy and consistency across civil documents remain essential to avoid delays or requests for further information.
With accurate documentation and well-organized evidence, applicants can move through the sponsorship process smoothly and confidently. If at any point you feel unsure about a document or a specific step, our consultants are available to guide you and help avoid costly delays. From 2016 to 2024, our Canadian immigration consultants have supported 103 clients from Lithuania in navigating Canada’s immigration pathways with care and precision. You can book a consultation for personalized guidance or review our Immigration Consultant Prices to compare packages and choose the level of support that fits your needs. Country-Specific Documents
IRCC does not require any additional country-specific forms for residents of Lithuania. In some cases, applicants may be asked to complete Supplementary Information – Your Travels (IMM 5562) if IRCC requires clarification regarding travel or residence history, but this is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Other “Must-have” Documents
There are currently no special document instructions issued by IRCC for Lithuania. Standard civil documents—such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, or divorce records—must be clear, complete, and consistent with the information declared in the application. Any document not issued in English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation.
Biometrics
Most sponsored applicants from Lithuania will be required to provide biometrics (fingerprints and photo) after submitting the application. Once IRCC issues the Biometrics Instruction Letter, biometrics must be completed at an authorized Visa Application Centre within the required timeframe.
