Tunisia to Canada Spousal Sponsorship
Applicants applying for spousal sponsorship from Tunisia must follow the country-specific IRCC instructions alongside the standard sponsorship application checklist. These instructions identify any additional local forms or documents required for an application involving Tunisian nationals.

The Tunisia instructions require Supplementary Information – Your Travels (IMM 5562), a digital form.
The principal applicant and all family members included in the application who are 18 years old or older must complete this form.
Tunisia to Canada Study Permit
Applicants applying for a Canada study permit from Tunisia must follow the Paris visa office instructions for local document requirements. These instructions are listed in the Paris Visa Office Additional Document Checklist — IMM 5852.
For Tunisia applicants, IMM 5852 is a short local checklist. It mainly focuses on school records and, where applicable, proof of legal residence if the applicant lives in a country where they are not a citizen.

IMM 5852 is used alongside the standard study permit checklist. It does not replace the general study permit requirements.
Applicants who live in a country where they are not citizens should also provide a photocopy of their valid residence permit.
School Records
Tunisia study permit applicants should provide documents confirming their education history.
Applicants should include:
- diplomas;
- transcripts; and
- English or French translations if the original school records are in another language.
These documents should be prepared according to the Paris visa office instructions.
Tunisia to Canada Visitor Visa
IRCC does not provide a separate document checklist for Canadian visitor visa applicants from Tunisia. Applicants should therefore follow the standard IRCC visitor visa requirements and submit the supporting documents requested through their online application.
IRCC recorded 11,265 visitor visas for Tunisia in 2023, 10,835 in 2024, and 8,590 in 2025, followed by 6,140 from January to June 2026.
A Canadian visitor visa can allow eligible Tunisian travellers to visit Canada temporarily for purposes such as tourism, visiting family or friends, or certain business activities. The supporting documents required will depend on the applicant’s individual circumstances, purpose of travel, financial situation, and plans for their temporary stay in Canada.
