Applicants residing in Switzerland must complete IMM 5562 if requested, outlining their travel and residence history. This applies to the principal applicant and any family members aged 18 or older, where applicable.

No other mandatory Switzerland-specific IRCC forms apply to spousal sponsorship cases.

IRCC does not impose special document formats or additional civil document requirements for Switzerland beyond standard sponsorship expectations. All civil status documents must be clear, complete, and consistent with the information declared throughout the application.

Certified translations are required for any documents not issued in English or French.

Most applicants will be required to provide biometrics (fingerprints and photo) after submission. Once a Biometrics Instruction Letter is issued, biometrics must be completed at an authorized Visa Application Centre.
