While Nepal does not have a unique military form, one specific form is mandatory for all residents.

  • Travel History (IMM 5562): The principal applicant and all family members aged 18+ must complete the Supplementary Information – Your Travels form.

IRCC has specific rules for birth and divorce documents from Nepal.

  • Late Birth Registration: If a birth certificate was issued late (not at the time of birth), you cannot submit it alone. You must provide secondary proof of identity, such as:
    1. Old School Records: (Class 5, Middle Standard, or SLC/SEE Certificate).
    2. Voter’s Identity Card.
    3. Baptism Certificate (if applicable).
  • Divorce Documents: A simple certificate is not enough. You must submit the full legal set:
    1. The Complete Divorce Petition.
    2. The Court Judgment.
    3. The Final Divorce Decree.
  • Citizenship Certificate (Nagarikta): This is the foundation of legal identity in Nepal. You must submit a certified copy of the applicant’s Nagarikta.
    • Crucial: Since these are issued in Nepali, you must provide a notarized English translation along with the copy of the original.
  • Marriage Registration: A religious ceremony photo is not enough. You must submit the Marriage Registration Certificate issued by the Ward Office or Municipality.
  • Police Certificate: Applicants aged 18+ must provide a Police Clearance Report.
    • Issuing Authority: Issued by the Nepal Police Headquarters (Criminal Investigation Department).
    • Process: You can typically apply for this online via the Nepal Police website.

If any document is not in English or French, include:

  • the original document (or required certified copy), plus
  • a certified translation

Make sure names, dates, and document details match exactly between the original and the translation.
