Kosovo to Canada Spousal Sponsorship
Applicants from Kosovo must follow the country-specific IRCC spousal sponsorship instructions in addition to the standard sponsorship checklist.
The Kosovo instructions confirm that there are no extra country-specific forms or special document instructions for most applicants.
However, a principal applicant who served in the military at any time between 1991 and 1995 or in 1999 must complete the Details of Military Service IMM 5546. They must also submit a copy of all pages of their military booklet, including blank pages.
Kosovo to Canada Study Permit
IRCC does not currently provide a separate Kosovo-specific study permit checklist, visa office checklist, or local document instructions. Applicants from Kosovo should therefore follow the standard IRCC study permit requirements and provide all supporting documents relevant to their studies, finances, and individual circumstances.
IRCC statistics show continued interest in Canadian education among citizens of Kosovo. 65 study permits were issued in 2021, 50 in 2022, 100 in 2023, 75 in 2024, and 60 in 2025. An additional 30 study permits were recorded from January to June 2026.
These figures reflect the ongoing presence of students from Kosovo in Canada’s international education system. Applicants should ensure that their study plans, financial resources, and supporting documents are clearly presented and meet all applicable IRCC requirements.
Kosovo to Canada Visitor Visa
IRCC does not provide a separate document checklist for Canadian visitor visa applicants from Kosovo. Applicants should therefore follow the standard IRCC visitor visa requirements and submit the supporting documents requested through their online application.
IRCC recorded 815 visitor visas for Kosovo in 2023, 395 in 2024, and 685 in 2025, followed by 395 from January to June 2026.
A Canadian visitor visa can allow eligible Kosovar travellers to visit Canada temporarily for purposes such as tourism, visiting family or friends, or certain business activities. The supporting documents required will depend on the applicant’s individual circumstances, purpose of travel, financial situation, and plans for their temporary stay in Canada.
